… a time to blog bio picture

Welcome to my blog!

I am so happy that you have found your way here, this blog is a place for all of my amazing clients (and hopefully some future clients as well),and other photographers, photography enthusiasts, etc to visit, check out what's going on with me and with the studio, and to see some fresh work! You may have noticed the bible verse up at the top of the page, that verse is from the Old Testament, and most people will recognize it as the lyrics from a popular song from the 60's. Well that verse basically sums up my outlook on life, and my business. I believe that we all pass through seasons in our lives, good, bad, exciting, etc, and my philosophy, for my studio, is centered around helping my clients to record the emotions and events of those different seasons! There is a time to laugh, to love, to mourn, to dance. For me, this is my time to blog, to share a bit about myself with you, and I hope you will share with me as well! More posts will be coming soon, but for now Welcome, I look forward to sharing a bit about myself with you! XOXOXO Christie :)

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone! Well I am finally coming down from my crazy Christmas Season! I have some time now to stop and look back on the last year, it has been a wild roller coaster ride of emotions, experiences and blessings and I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have lived it, with the people I care about. Life has thrown us a few curve balls and our family has come through some not-so-fun as well as some life-changing stuff and we are stronger and better for it all! I want to tell all my family, friends and clients how much they mean to me and how each one of them has changed and enriched my life, i am so thankful for all of you. I am looking forward to another wonderful year, and am so excited about the things ahead and know that God has big plans for me in the coming year. God bless you all and I look forward to our paths crossing in the coming year in new and exciting ways!

And because a post w/o a photo is just not an option for me here is a shot of the first sunset of 2009, just another beautiful Northern Nevada sunset, as seen from my front yard (we have the most amazing sunsets here, I love looking out my front windows every day to see the colors God has painted across the sky).

Cheeks, cheeks and more cheeks!

I have known this sweet baby’s momma since we were 13, she and I have our b-days two days apart, and we used to spend all our time together when we were young-uns! This is baby D, he is pretty sweet. We did not get too many smiles, but we did get some pretty adorable expressions nonetheless. Don’t you just want to pinch those cheeks, don’t try to deny it?

Jen and Travis: Expecting!

I have to say that I LOVE photographing pregnancies! Something about the miracle of childbirth, and the hopeful and anticipatory expressions on the faces of new parents that just melts my heart. I truly enjoyed my own pregnancy, and of course everything since then, and motherhood is such a blessing, that I delight in documenting this special time! Jen and Travis are expecting a sweet baby boy in about 4 weeks, how exciting! I think Jen is just glowing, I wish I looked this good when I was 8 months pregnant, she’s a lucky lady, and so is Travis! They make such a great couple and I can;t wait to photograph their baby when he gets here next month!!
